Here are some interesting facts we’d like to share:
- We have been a structural partner of Monnikenheide-Spectrum, a centre for people with an intellectual disability, for many years.
- Since the beginning of the corona crisis, we have already provided several social organisations with additional financial means, so that they can continue their work, including Stichting Pelicano and YAR Vlaanderen.
- At the beginning of 2021, we collected 8,899 euro for Cliniclowns and Bednet through a campaign with our Healthcare insureds.
- At the end of 2021, we organised a Christmas campaign for our Health Care affiliates to support Bednet, VZW Boven De Wolken, Cliniclowns Belgium, Children’s Cancer Fund, Make-A-Wish® Belgium-Flanders and Os’mose. We donated a total of EUR 6,384 to these organisations.
Garden work for non-profit organisation vzw De Maanwandelaars (former vzw Katrinahome, Den Buiten) in Vremde, within the context of Time4Society – Jesse Mertens: “We helped with the creation of the experience garden for the residents. I found a lot of satisfaction in rolling up my sleeves together with the residents, who are all adults with moderate to severe mental disabilities. Due to my busy work and family life, there is usually little time left for social projects. Thanks to Time4Society and my employer, I’m able to participate in all kinds of projects within a proper framework, for the benefit of children or people with a disability, for example.”
Warmathon in Antwerp for the benefit of non-profit organisation Feestvarken– Laura Goyvaerts: “It’s really nice to support a charity through an activity that I enjoy. Making an effort for Feestvarken vzw together with my colleagues made me feel warm inside, despite the cold temperatures. It was like a kind of teambuilding across all departments – I can only recommend it to everybody. And DJ Brahim encouraging us from the stage, with his “Come on, ladies in blue!” after every lap only added to the fun.”
Parking space for healthcare staff at Vanbreda Risk & Benefits – Vanbreda Risk & Benefits is happy to support this valuable initiative of SEL Amberes and the City of Antwerp by opening up its car park for care providers. As we have many clients in the social profit sector, we are aware of how important it is that physicians and nursing staff can avoid wasting their valuable time and energy searching for a place to park, enabling them to spend as much time as possible with their patients
