Vanbreda Risk & Benefits: a Benelux company with an international dimension

Vanbreda Risk & Benefits is more than a Benelux insurance broker. As a member of the international partnership Lockton Global, we have access to a network that operates in more than 125 countries worldwide. By working with leading local brokers and consultants, we can therefore ensure that you get the same services and cover internationally. The network consists of independent players, and the quality of the service provided is paramount.

Global benefits management guarantees central control

Our global benefits services offer you comprehensive support in managing your employee benefits worldwide. As your global benefits manager, we serve as the link between your global HR team and all the relevant partners in our network.

Multinational pooling: financial benefits across borders

There are financially attractive ways for international employers to identify risks. One of these is multinational pooling. This is a powerful tool in which two or more subsidiaries of your multinational located in other countries combine their employee benefits programmes with a view to achieving financial savings and risk management. Different countries’ results are combined, so that positive results in one country can compensate for negative results in another country. In addition, pooling ensures smoother medical acceptance, cutting down on the administrative burden for subsidiaries and improving insurability for all employees.

Strategic alignment and harmonisation

As a global HR team, you set the guidelines to which local entities must adhere in terms of remuneration policy. As the coordinating broker, we make sure that local brokers always take account of the strategic choices made by the head office. At the same time, we keep you informed of local trends and changes in legislation that could impact the benefits you offer.

Do you regularly have to deal with mergers or acquisitions? If so, you know how important it is to have harmonisation processes to align benefit plans with your global vision and strategy. Many companies with a history of acquisitions and mergers end up with widely differing plans. Together with our partners, we look at the possibilities for harmonisation, so that all employees receive similar remuneration and you as an employer can offer a consistent employee experience across all countries.

Worldwide support and compliance

Managing benefits worldwide requires a lot of time and energy from an HR team. That’s why it’s helpful to have a partner who coordinates and monitors these matters so that any local challenges can be addressed quickly and appropriately.

When you enter a new market, it’s clearly in the interest of your head office to receive proper guidance. Our partners are well established in the countries where they operate and have an excellent understanding of what’s going on locally. You can therefore be confident that we will do what it takes to ensure that local policies are always in line with local legislation. The same level of service is expected from all our partners, so you can be sure of consistent quality worldwide.

Transparency and reporting

In order to have the necessary impact on local employee benefits, it’s important to have a clear picture of what contracts are active locally. Uniform reporting gives you as head office a perfect view of what cover is provided and what premiums are paid in different countries.
